Photos of Financially Broke Dubai

Dubai Pyramid
Financially broke Dubai has the world’s tallest building, the biggest mall and several man made islands shaped to suit the developer’s whims. The question I have: Dubai is broke; green projects are on hold; loans are not being paid. Will this taint Dubai or will Dubai’s neighbors bail it out quietly in time to save some of the glamour?
There is a possibility (albeit small) that Dubai becomes 21st century a ghost town. Imagine the world’s tallest slum settlement. The top floors could only be occupied by the strongest, most capable of humping groceries up 160 floors.
Will this financial crisis derail the construction of Masdar, the carbon neutral super green suburb of Dubai? (Technically a suburb of Abu Dhabi, about 120 km away in the UAE)
Masdar - Scheduled to Open 2016

Masdar is not in Dubai.
It’s in Abu Dhabi.
